Application for FY2016 Central Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Grant
Summary:

The HIDTA Grant provides funds to support the initiatives designed to implement the strategy proposed by the Executive Board of the Central Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas. Specifically, the funds will be used for overtime, vehicle leases and equipment rental for OPD officers assigned to the Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, DEA Heroin Task Force and the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation for the investigation of drug crimes in the Central Florida area.

The City of Orlando anticipates receiving approximately $109,472.00

Recommended Action:
Approval of the grant application by City Council and signature of Mayor, subject to review by the City Attorney's Office and the Grant Development Division.
