The Transportation Engineering Division is requesting to utilize Brevard County Contract #1445 with Trafficware Group, Inc of Sugar Land, Texas for the purchase of traffic signal equipment. This contract will be used to upgrade traffic signal controllers to Ethernet and to add Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) to improve traffic signal reliability and monitoring of traffic at key intersections.
The current Contract term is effective through December 14, 2016 and may be renewed by mutual consent of the parties. This is an indefinite quantity contract. Actual expenditures will vary as usage will be on an as-needed basis at the established unit prices and available funding. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will reimburse the City $387,000.00 for the initial purchase. The estimated annual expenditure is $400,000.00 in the current Fiscal Year and $50,000.00 in following Fiscal Years.
