Summary:
The attached ordinance applies to a 1.35 ac. developed park site, which is part of Lake Eola, and is generally located south of E. Washington Street, north of E. Central Boulevard, east of Lake Eola and west of North Eola Drive.
The ordinance will:
1. Change the future land use of the subject site from Residential High Intensity to Public, Recreational and Institutional (+/-1.35 ac.) and shift Future Land Use Subarea Policy S.7.1 to exclude property and abutting park area (4.9 ac.);
2. Rezone the subject site from MXD-2/T to Public Use (P) with the Traditional City (/T) Overlay. These changes will make the site's future land use and zoning consistent with abutting park area.
The Municipal Planning Board (MPB) recommended approval of the GMP amendment (GMP2015-00019) and the rezoning (ZON2015-00016) on August 18, 2015. City Council approved the MPB minutes on September 21, 2015.
The second reading of the ordinance is scheduled for December 14, 2015 |
