FY 15-16 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Countywide Award

Summary:

 The Orlando Police Department has been awarded $47,435.00 from the U.S. Department of Justice, Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Countywide Program. The application for this award was approved by City Council on August 10, 2015.

The funds received will be used to purchase equipment and supplies for the Forensics Laboratory.

Recommended Action:
Approval and acceptance of the grant award by City Council, subject to review by the City Attorney's Office and the Grants Development Division.
