First Amendment to the Vehicle Maintenance Facility Ground Lease between City, GOAA and All Aboard Florida
Summary:
On January 22, 2014, the City, GOAA and All Aboard Florida, "AAF", entered into a Vehicle Maintenance Facility Ground Lease providing for AAF's use of certain City/GOAA  property at OIA for construction and operation of a maintenance facility to serve AAF's inter-city passenger trains.  The Parties now desire to amend the Lease to reduce the land area affected, adjust the rent and credits accordingly and provide a lease-option.  The leased property is controlled by GOAA as part of OIA but under the City's Charter, the City must execute a Resolution approving any lease in excess of ten years.

Recommended Action:
Approval of the attached First Amendment and authorization for the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem to execute a Resolution approving same and a Joinder to the First Amendment, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office.
