Summary:
The changes to the Orlando City Code set forth in the attached ordinance are part of an overall revision of the City Code to identify sections that have become obsolete, are unnecessarily duplicative of federal or state law, or which need modifications to better reflect current practices and technologies.

The attached ordinance amends Code Chapter 5, dealing with the "Code Enforcement Board" and "Code Enforcement Citations" by deleting in it's entirety section 5.01(3) dealing with the initial appointments to the Code Enforcement Board, and by amending sections 5.01, 5.03, 5.04, 5.05, 5.06, 5.07, 5.08, 5.09, 5.12, 5.17 and 5.18 to clarify intent.

Recommended Action:
Adopt the attached ordinance number 2014-53 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
