Ordinance No. 2015-51 assigns Planned Development zoning to property located at 8301 McCoy Road (8301 McCoy Road). (Economic Development)

Summary:

The attached ordinance will assign PD/AN zoning to property located at 8301 McCoy Road, which is located north McCoy Road, southeast of the current southeastern terminus of Hazeltine National Drive and west of Narcoossee Road, and is approximately 5.22 acres.  The property is currently developed with a 27,300 sq. ft. warehouse building and a stormwater pond.   The PD will allow the future development of a total of 67,300 sq. ft of non-residential use; 27,300 sq. ft. of which is existing.

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the initial zoning of PD/AN (ZON2015-00009) on August 18, 2015.  The adoption ordinance is scheduled for November 16, 2015.

Recommended Action:

Approve the attached ordinance number 2015-51 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next City Council Meeting.
