Summary:
The Orlando Police Department is the recipient of $100,000.00 from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the 2016 Federal fiscal year. The award period will be from 10/01/15 - 09/30/16.
This grant will provide funds for overtime for officers to staff a DUI Enforcement Team. The objective of this team is to efficiently and safely remove suspected DUI offenders and traffic violators from the highways by mobile, high visibility, traffic enforcement tactics.

Approval and acceptance of the contract award by City Council and approval for execution of the grant agreement by the Mayor and Chief of Police, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office and Grants Development Division. |
