Bent Pine Dr & Semoran Bv Mast Arm Memorandum of Understanding

Summary:
Memorandum of agreement between the City of Orlando and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the construction of a mast arm traffic signal at the intersection of Bent Pine Dr and Semoran Bv (SR 436). The developer of the property at 6100 S. Semoran Bv agreed to build a mast arm traffic signal to service the new driveway opposite Bent Pine Dr. FDOT requires an agreement with the local maintaining agency (City) as part of their process to approve the new traffic signal structure. The Transportation Engineering Division will assume responsibility to maintain this structure according to the Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement previously signed by the City and FDOT.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: The addition of the mast arm assembly will cost the Traffic Signal Maintenance program (TRE0006_C) approximately $245 per year to perform an annual preventative inspection and 1/5 of the cost to repaint the mast arm every five years.

Recommended Action:
Approval of the agreement and authorization for the Mayor/Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk/Deputy City Clerk to execute these agreements, subject to review and approval of the City Attorney's Office, and authorization for the City Attorney's Office to correct scrivener's errors.
