Subject:Employment Agreement - Tiffany Lumpkin, Youth Prevention/Intervention Coordinator - Contract
Summary:

After conducting an extensive search for candidates, the Families, Parks and Recreation Department has selected Ms. Tiffany Lumpkin to fill the role of Parramore Kidz Zone's vacant Prevention/Intervention Coordinator - Contract position. The Coordinator develops and manages comprehensive intervention programs, services, and resources that will serve at-risk youths and young adults, to prevent dropping out of school, becoming involved in criminal activity, or other negative outcomes.

Ms. Lumpkin, whose resume is attached, brings 13 years of progressively more responsible experience working in programs that serve struggling children and their families.  She holds both Bachelors and Masters of Social Work degrees, as well as multiple certifications relevant to this position.  As a Youth Intervention/Prevention Coordinator with the City of Orlando's most vulnerable population, Ms. Lumpkin's knowledge and experience with effective practices and strategies for intervention and prevention are critical assets that will help steer youth on the right track for future success.

Recommended Action:Approve the Employment Agreement with Tiffany Lumpkin and authorize signature by the Mayor/Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk, subject to satisfactory review by the City Attorney's Office.
