Subject:NRPA Grant for Community Gardens
Summary:

In collaboration with the Darden Restaurants, Inc. Foundation, the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) manages the 2015 Grow Your Park Program, which supports the construction, refurbishment and/or improvement of community gardens located in public parks.

As part of this program, NRPA has awarded the City $8,000 to install community gardens at City of Orlando parks.

The parks where gardens will be installed have not yet been determined; sites will be finalized based upon community interest and suitable location. 

Fiscal and Efficiency Data:Fiscal impact statement attached.
Recommended Action:Acceptance of the grant from the National Recreation and Park Association.
