The attached ordinance will annex property located at 4296 Columbia Street which is east of the intersection of S. Ivey Lane and Columbia Street and is approximately 0.84 acres. The ordinance also assigns the Mixed Use Corridor Medium Intensity future land use designation and initial zoning of MU-1. Annexation is being requested in order to connect to City sewer for an existing retail building. The subject property is contiguous to the City limits and is reasonably compact. If annexed, the property will not create an enclave.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2014-00021), the GMP amendment to assign Mixed Use Corridor Medium Intensity future land use designation (GMP2014-00037), and the associated zoning of MU-1 (ZON2014-00029) on January 20, 2015. The adoption ordinance is scheduled for September 21, 2015.
