Locally Funded Agreement between the City and FDOT on State Road 50 Resurfacing

Summary:

The City of Orlando is entering into an agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), to financially support aesthetic treatments and traffic signal improvements along the Colonial Drive Corridor. FDOT is designing a resurfacing project from Orange Blossom Trail to Shine Avenue, which the FDOT will fund and construct stormwater utility improvements to improve local drainage. The City will fund decorative patterned crosswalks, the painting of pedestrian poles, and signalization detection, which are enhancements beyond the standard FDOT resurfacing improvements.


Fiscal & Efficiency Data: The City is to fund FDOT a total of $230,708 for its share of the capital improvements.

Recommended Action:
Authorize execution of the Locally Funded Agreement by the Mayor/Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk subject to the review and approval of the City Attorney's Office
