Application of the 2015 Target Community Engagement Funds Grant

Summary:

As a sponsor of local National Night Out events, Target donates dollars and supplies to support more than 15,000 local celebrations nationwide, ranging from neighborhood block parties to picnics and street dances. Programs such as the National Night Out bring back a sense of community and enhance the relationship between neighbors and local law enforcement through positive circumstances.

The Orlando Police Department has applied for $4,480.00 to grow the Neighborhood Watch program in the City of Orlando through National Night Out and other crime prevention programs.


Fiscal & Efficiency Data: FIS not required at this time.

Recommended Action:
Ratification by City Council of the Application for the 2015 Target Community Engagement Funds Grant post-submission, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office and the Grants Development Division.
