Summary:
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando would like to move the Latin Food & Wine Festival to downtown Orlando for 2015. The major free public event will be held on Sunday, October 18th from noon to 8 p.m. at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center's Seneff Plaza and City Hall Plaza. It will feature live entertainment, Latin food and wine. The Festival is expected to attract thousands to downtown Orlando and will go through the normal Ch. 18A permitting process.
As a component of the Latin Food & Wine Festival, the Chamber is also planning to hold "Savor the Night", a pre-festival ticketed, fundraising event, on Saturday, October 17th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on City Hall Plaza and in the City Hall rotunda. This pre-festival event is expected to draw 500-600 people. City Council permission is sought to hold this event in the Rotunda and City Hall Plaza which are not normally used for fundraising activities.
