Subject:Contract with the Orange County School Board for Bus Transportation Services, C15-0339
Summary:

Approval is requested to authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to renew a contract for bus transportation services with the Orange County School Board for a twelve (12) month period. This is a continuing service provided by the School Board for bus transportation on a day trip basis to support various City recreation programs, such as youth football, youth field trips, After School All-Stars programs, summer camp activities, swimming trips, and various senior programs.

The contract term is one (1) year. This is an indefinite quantity contract. Actual expenditures will vary as usage will be on an as-needed basis at the established unit price(s) and available funding. Based on prior usage reports and information supplied by Families, Parks and Recreation and After School All-Stars program, the estimated annual expenditure is $200,000.

Fiscal and Efficiency Data:The City will receive $124,300.00 through funds awarded to After School All-Stars, Inc. by the Florida Department of Education for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant.
Recommended Action:Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to execute a contract with Orange County School Board for bus transportation services as indicated above.
