Ordinance No. 2015-22 Of The City Council Of The City Of Orlando, Florida, Amending Chapter 7, Article XI, Entitled “Supplier Diversity,” Of The Code Of The City Of Orlando By Clarifying Section 7.1102 “Veteran Business Enterprise Preference.”
Summary:
The changes to the Orlando City Code set forth in the attached ordinance are part of an overall revision of the City Code to identify sections that have become obsolete, are  unneccesarily duplicative of federal or state law or which need modifications to better reflect current practices and technologies.

The attached ordinance amends Section 7.1102(D) to make a clarification regarding the utilization of scoresheets for VBE in an Invitation to Negotiate (“ITN”) solicitation.  Also amending Section 7.1102(F), to clarify the use of VBE in solicitations where the M/WBE goals may be exempt or waived pursuant to City Code Chapter 57.  The Ordinance also provides for severability, correction of scrivener’s errors, and provides for an effective date.
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No fiscal impact.
Recommended Action:

Adoption of the amended ordinance as drafted and authorizing the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem to execute upon adoption with the approval of the City Attorney’s Office.
