The following sealed bids were received in response to the subject solicitation:

The project will consist of construction of the Millenia Elementary Trail Bridge that will “bridge” the current gap of the Shingle Creek Pedestrian Trail.

 

The project includes the construction of a pedestrian bridge and a trail connection to the existing multi-use trail on the north and south sides of Shingle Creek approximately 0.23 miles south of the President Barack Obama Parkway and Conroy Rd. intersection in Orange County, FL. Included in the construction are two shallow foundations, a prefabricated steel truss pedestrian bridge, embankment slope protection, an extension of the existing multi-use trail on the southern side of the bridge, and a portion of trail that will tie into the existing trail on the northern side of the bridge.

 

The Procurement and Contracts Division and Capital Improvement Division have evaluated these bids and recommend award to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder, Theobald Construction, LLC of St. Cloud, FL in the amount of $284,493.90.

 

Theobald Construction, LLC M/WBE and VBE Participation Plan for this contract is as follows:

 

Wilson Concrete $26,000.00  MBE 9.1%    Concrete
Mims Construction  $7,840.00  WBE 2.8%    Insulated Block

Recommended Action:

Approval of award to Theobald Construction, LLC and authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to enter into an agreement with Theobald Construction, LLC as indicated above in the amount of $284,493.90 subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
