Rotary Club of Orlando support of Lake Eola Park
Summary:

The Rotary Club of Orlando has been a longtime supporter of various organizations in Central Florida.  On March 14, 2015, the Rotary Club of Orlando hosted the Great Orlando Swan Boat Race at Lake Eola Park.  The first event of its kind, teams raced in heats to determine who would be the Grand Champion.  The Rotary Club has earmarked funds raised from the event to purchase an ADA accessible swan boat for public use at Lake Eola Park.

Mayor Dyer will ask Ms. Lisa Early, Director of Families, Parks and Recreation, to step to the podium to introduce Ms. Danielle Krise, President of the Rotary Club of Orlando and Mark Adams, Event Committee Chair.  After saying a few words, Ms. Krise and Mr. Adams will present a donation to the Orlando Community & Youth Trust, Inc., for the purchase of an ADA accessible swan boat.  After the check presentation, Mayor Dyer and Commissioner Sheehan will step down from the dais for photographs.
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No fiscal impact.
Recommended Action:
Accept a donation and recognize the Rotary Club of Orlando for its contribution to the City.
