The City is amending the 2014 Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) Annual Action Plan to include the new Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded project listed below.   The 2014 Action Plan contains goals and objectives for implementing The City’s Five-Year Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development, as well as a listing of proposed projects to be undertaken with  U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development CDBG funds in support of the Plan’s objectives.   

Project Name:   Neighborhood Hazard Abatement

Project Description:   This project will provide funding for the elimination of identified slum and blighted properties within the City of Orlando that have been deemed detrimental to public health and safety.   Funds will be used for the clearance, relocation or rehabilitation of such properties.

Project Location:  City-wide

Project Funding:   $1,000,000 in reallocated PY 2009, 2010, PY 2011 and PY 2013 CDBG funds. 

A Notice of the Amendment to the 2014 Action Plan was released to the public for a 30-day comment period in accordance with the City’s HCD Citizen Participation Plan and US HUD requirements.  No comments were received.
