| | | | | | | | | Subject: | First Amendment to Agreement between the City of Orlando and Lighthouse Central Florida | | Summary: | On September 8, 2014, City Council approved the execution of the agreement between The City of Orlando and Lighthouse Central Florida, Inc. for the rehabilitation and expansion of its facility located at 2500 Kunze Avenue, Orlando, FL 32804. This project was approved as part of the FY2013 – 2014 Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development Programs. The current council agenda item is for the approval of an amendment to the existing agreement. The amendment will waive the requirement to provide a bond for the full amount of the improvements to be completed on the property in order to reduce expenses. In order to protect the City's investment of HUD funds, Lighthouse is providing an irrevocable letter of credit instead. | | Fiscal and Efficiency Data: | FY2013 HUD – Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) was approved on 07/22/2013 as part of the Annual Action Plan.
