Florida Department of Health EMS Matching Grant
Summary:
Over the past three years, Florida EMS has awarded 139 matching grants totaling $6.8 million. These grants are to assist agencies and local governments with EMS equipment and resources.  OFD will be applying for approximately $333,416.00 to purchase and install 9 stretchers which include Power-PRO XT, Steer Lock ProCare, and Power Load.  These stretchers will help to reduce lifting injuries to firefighters.  
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No fiscal impact to the city at this time.
Recommended Action:
Approval of City Council to apply for grant.
