Summary:
At the September 8, 2014 Orlando City Council meeting, several contract positions were approved for the FPR Department. One was a Marketing/Communications Coordinator, funded via a donation from the Orlando Community & Youth Trust, Inc. and a contribution from the After-School All-Stars non-profit.
After an exhaustive search, the selection panel has chosen Ms. Laura Cianciolo for the position. Ms. Cianciolo's resume is attached and includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Providence College and 17 years experience in marketing, sales, and marketing management with the Walt Disney World company.
This item authorizes a full time contract with Ms. Cianciolo to serve in as FPR's Marketing/Communications Coordinator through the remainder of the 2014-15 fiscal year. |

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached Employment Agreement with Laura Cianciolo and authorize signature by the Mayor/Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk, subject to satisfactory review by the City Attorney's Office. |
