Specific Items Approved by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) at its January 21, 2015 Meeting

GOAA has requested that City Council concur in the approval of the following items from GOAA's January 21, 2015 meeting. Draft minutes of the meeting are attached and a summary of the items are as follows:

Consent Agenda Item D - (1) find the property on the attached list no longer necessary, useful, or profitable in the operation of the airport system: (2) request City Council concurrence of this finding: and (3) authorize GOAA staff to dispose of this property in accordance with GOAA policies and procedures

Consent Agenda Item K - (1) Approve the request to provide funding for Project V757, Hyatt Hotel Balcony Railing Modifications at Orlando International Airport in an amount not to exceed $275,000 from Capital Expenditure Fund, and (2) request City Council concurrence in the non-budgeted expenditure. 

New Business Item A - (1) Approve a new Hotel Management Agreement between GOAA and Hyatt Corporation on the business terms presented to the Board and such other terms as approved by the Executive Director; (2) request City Council approval of this agreement as its term is in excess of 10 years; and (3) authorize a GOAA Officer or Executive Director to execute necessary documents, following satisfactory review by legal counsel. The agreement provides for the continued operation and management of the hotel by Hyatt Corporation for a term of 20 years beginning October 1, 2015 and ending September 30, 2035. A copy of the Agreement is attached.

Recommended Action:
Concur in GOAA's approval of Consent Agenda Items D and K and approve the Hotel Management Agreement between GOAA and Hyatt Corporation, all from the January 21, 2015 GOAA meeting, and approve the attached Joinder to the Hotel Management Agreement between GOAA and Hyatt Corporation, and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute same.
