FY 2015-2016 FDOT Highway Safety Grant - Concept Paper for DUI Enforcement

Summary:
The grant in the amount of $100,000.00 will be used for overtime for officers to staff a DUI Enforcement Team.  The objective of this team is to efficiently and safely remove suspected DUI offenders and traffic violators from the highways by mobile, high visibility, traffic enforcement tactics.  The Team consists of specially trained officers who conduct bi-weekly operations.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: Fiscal Impact Statement to be supplied upon grant award.


Recommended Action:
Approval by City Council of the FY 2015-2016 FDOT Highway Safety Grant-Concept Paper, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office and the Grant Development Supervisor.
