FY2014 State Homeland Security Grant Program - Subrecipient Agreement - Orlando HazMat and Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Taskforce 4

Summary:
This grant funds the sustainment of the Orlando HazMat team and the Urban Search and Rescue Team (US&R), FL TF4, as directed by the FY 2014 State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP). This is a continuing grant which funds sustainment of previously purchased equipment and specialized training related to HazMat and US&R. This enhances the HazMat and Urban Search and Rescue Teams to respond to terrorism and disaster events. The grant award is for HazMat sustainment of equipment for $15,000 and US&R sustainment of equipment for $15,400.00 and a US&R training exercise for team members for $25,000. This is a total of $55,400.00.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data:  FY2014 Department of Homeland Security, Division of Emergency Management, State Homeland Security Grant Program - Subrecipient Agreement (SHSGP) to be approved by City Council on January 12, 2015.

Recommended Action:
Approval of City Council of grant funding agreement and execution by the Mayor.
