Ordinance No. 2014-70 annexing, assigning the future land use designation of Industrial and designating the Industrial-Commercial Zoning District with the Aircraft Noise Overlay for property generally located north of Daubert Street, east of Maltby Avenue, south of Roush Avenue and west of Lake Baldwin Lane (4257 Daubert Street). (Economic Development)

The attached ordinance will annex property generally located north of Daubert Street, east of  Maltby Avenue, south of Roush Avenue and west of Lake Baldwin Lane  and addressed  as 4257 Daubert Street. The subject property is approximately +/0.46 ac. and is developed with a two story high, +/-17,317 sq. ft. warehouse building.  Annexation is being requested in order for the subject site to connect to the City's wastewater system.  If annexed, the property will not create an enclave.

On August 19, 2014, the Municipal Planning Board (MPB) recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2014-00011), the GMP amendment to assign Industrial future land use designation (GMP2014-00017), and designation of I-C ( Industrial-Commercial) zoning with the Aircraft Noise (/AN) overlay (ZON2014-00018). 

The adoption ordinance for the annexation, GMP and initial zoning is scheduled for January 12, 2015.

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached ordinance number 2014-70 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next City Council Meeting.
