Small on-site recognition for "Ribbit the Exhibit" sponsors
Summary:
Seeking approval of signage for Leu Gardens Art Exhibit sponsorhips.
The Friends of Leu Gardens Inc. was established as a Florida not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation in September 1983 to support the Gardens and its mission. Orange County Cultural Affairs recently awarded The Friends a $25,000 grant to help support a temporary installation of life-sized frog sculptures throughout the Gardens, called "Ribbit the Exhibit."  To offset the additional costs of the exhibit, the Friends is seeking approval from the City to secure sponsorships.  Sponsors would be permitted to have a small on-site recognition in the Gardens and any publicity materials for the installation.  Through the grant, its own financial contributions and sponsorships, the Friends is bearing all of the costs of this special installation which is expected to drive additional visitors to the Gardens during its peak season.  
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No Fiscal Impact.
Recommended Action:
Approval of small on-site recognition for the "Ribbit the Exhibit" sponsors for the duration of the three month temporary exhibition at Harry P. Leu Gardens.
