| | | | | | | | Subject: | Ordinance No. 2014-60 amending the Growth Management Plan by updating figure CI-14, “City of Orlando 2014-2019 Capital Improvement Element Capital Improvements Fund Schedule,” and amending policy 2.2.30 in the Capital Improvements Element. (Economic Development) | Summary: | The attached ordinance will amend Figure CI-14 and Policy 2.2.30 in the Capital Improvements Element (CIE) of the Growth Management Plan (GMP) by updating the list of capital projects that are needed to meet level of service (LOS) standards between the years 2014 and 2019. The proposed amendment to Figure CI-14 is consistent with the City budget adopted on September 22, 2014.
The CIE sets minimum acceptable LOS standards for various public facilities and services including solid waste, wastewater, potable water, schools, and parks and recreation. Figure CI-14 of the CIE identifies the type, cost and timing of capital improvements needed to attain and/or maintain the adopted LOS standards. CIE Policy 2.2.30 adopts the Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) Capital Improvements Program by reference rather than including school projects in Figure CI-14.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the proposed GMP amendments on August 19, 2014 (Case #GMP2014-00016). | Fiscal and Efficiency Data: | n/a | Recommended Action: | Adopt the attached ordinance number 2014-60 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney. | Contact: | Michelle Beamon, michelle.beamon@cityoforlando.net, 407.246.3145 |
