The Office of Business and Financial Services is requesting to purchase construction services for installation of PermaBunker system at Dubsdread Golf Course from Sequoia Greenscapes of The Woodlands, TX, in the amount of $128,275.00.

Due to the loss of the existing bunkers structural integrity, a remedy is needed to correct the deficiency and improve playing conditions to enhance customer expectations.  Using the PermaBunker System will reduce costs and time to maintain the bunkers by using a different mixture of materials to create a permanent stabilization of the bunker floor.  For Dubsdread and its soil profile, this innovative method is the best value for the dollar versus using native materials of sand, silt and clay which easily erodes with water and creates undesirable conditions and failed systems.  

As the installation of the PermaBunker System is a proprietary trade secret, Sequoia Greenscapes is the only certified installer of the PermaBunker System; therefore this will be a Sole Source Contract.

No City Certified M/WBE suppliers are registered for this commodity.

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to enter into a contract with Sequoia Greenscapes, as indicated above, in the estimated amount of $128,275.00, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
