Funding Agreements between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the City of Orlando for CDBG, HOME, HOPWA and ESG Grant Programs for Fiscal Year 2015

Summary:
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has approved the City's application for Program Year 2014 (Fiscal Year 2015) for the funding of the following programs:
  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $1,806,256
  • HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) in the amount of $924,767
  • Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) in the amount of $3,008,066
  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) in the amount of $156,866
In order to receive the above mentioned funds, the City must execute individual grant agreements for each of the programs to be funded by HUD.

Recommended Action:
Approve and authorize the Mayor/Mayor Pro Tem to execute the corresponding grant agreements for the CDBG, HOME, HOPWA and ESG Programs for the receipt of Program Year 2014 funding from HUD, after review and approval of the documents by the City Attorney's Office.
