Summary:
L&B Restaurants, LLC d/b/a Two Chefs Seafood Oyster Bar (Two Chefs) plans to open a new seafood restaurant at 743 North Magnolia Avenue. Two Chefs’ menu will focus on Southern comfort food, along with seafood specialties. The project consists of a complete interior remodel, an outside deck, kitchen equipment, an upstairs private dining room, as well as 130 new seats. Two Chefs plans to create 15 new full-time jobs through this project. Total capital investment for this project is approximately $125,000.
Two Chefs has requested assistance through the City of Orlando's Business Assistance Program. The Business Assistance Program (BAP) is a matching grant program that was approved by the Orlando City Council on June 18, 2001 to encourage small businesses to locate, expand or redevelop in the City of Orlando. The Business Assistance Program assists with small-scale infrastructure projects, building permitting fees and impact fees. The BAP pays fifty percent of eligible fees. The maximum amount granted under the program guidelines is $20,000. All BAP awards greater than $5,000 are required to be forwarded to City Council for approval.
Total eligible fees for Two Chefs under the Business Assistance Program, are $27,344.10. The BAP will pay fifty percent of eligible fees ($13,672.05). The fee breakdown is as follows: Sewer Benefit Fee @ 50% = $13,672.05. |
