Summary:
At its January 27, 2014 meeting, the Orlando City Council approved an Employment Agreement with Faith Elam to serve as PKZ Lead Student Advocate through the remainder of the 2013-14 fiscal year (i.e. through September 30, 2014). This position is responsible for providing direct academic success services to youth in close alignment with the schools they attend. The primary goal is to increase the number of Parramore youth who successfully transition from elementary to middle school, from middle to high school, graduate from high school, and achieve post-secondary credentials that will enhance their future employment and income prospects. The position was funded via the realignment of existing fiscal resources within the FPR Department.
This agenda items renews Ms. Elam's contract for the 2014-15 fiscal year under the same terms but with a 2% salary increase. The position is funded within the Department's 2014-2015 budget. |
