Employment Agreement - Erika Ransom, PKZ Academic Coordinator - Part Time

Summary:

At its January 27, 2014 meeting, the Orlando City Council approved an Employment Agreement with Erika Ransom to serve as Part Time PKZ Academic Coordinator through the remainder of the 2013-14 fiscal year (i.e. through September 30, 2014). The position is responsible for developing, coordinating and overseeing all PKZ services aimed at supporting the academic success of Parramore youth.  Ms Ransom shares this responsibility with another Part Time PKZ Academic Coordinator, Latasha Greer-Adewale, whose contract is the subject of a separate City Council agenda item.

This agenda items renews Ms. Ransom's contract for the 2014-15 fiscal year under the same terms but with a 2% salary increase. The position is funded within the Department's 2014-15 budget.

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached Employment Agreement with Erika Ransom and authorize signature by the Mayor/Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk, subject to satisfactory review by the City Attorney's Office.
