Summary:
The Orlando City Council approved the addition of six (6) contract positions, in support of Children and Education, at its September 8, 2014 meeting. These positions are funded via a donation from the Orlando Community & Youth Trust, Inc., existing City of Orlando seasonal budget, and a contribution from the After-School All-Stars non-profit.
This item authorizes a one year, full time contract with Monica Ricketts to serve in one (1) of these positions, Grants Accountant. In this capacity, Ms. Ricketts will provide financial accounting of grant funds received by the Orlando Community & Youth Trust and After-School All-Stars, to support the City's Children and Education programs. Ms. Ricketts will administer grant/philanthropic expenditures and budgets, ensuring compliance with public agency or private foundation award specifications and reporting requirements. |

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached Employment Agreement with Monica Ricketts and authorize signature by the Mayor/Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk, subject to satisfactory review by the City Attorney's Office. |
