Summary:
Central Florida Fair, Inc. (the "Central Florida Fair"), is proposing an approximately $4 million renovation of its existing "Livestock Pavilion" and related construction of a new "Horse/Livestock Arena" (the "Facility"). The facility will be located at the Central Florida Fair and Expo Park at 4603 West Colonial Drive.
To help fund the Facility, the Central Florida Fair is applying for state funding pursuant to section 288.1175, Florida Statutes - a state program dedicated to financial support for certain agriculture education and promotion facilities. The attached resolution will, in accordance with the state statute, certify by resolution of the local government that the proposed facility will serve a public purpose.

Recommended Action:
Adoption of the attached proposed resolution and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney. |
