Summary:

The attached ordinance will abandon that portion of E. Orlando St. located between Dade Ave. and Interstate 4, all north of E. Princeton St., for redevelopment into medical offices and a surface parking lot. The applicant is Borron J. Owen, Jr., Esquire, Gray Robinson, P.A., on behalf of Adventist Health System/ Sunbelt, Inc. (Florida Hospital).

The abandonment request was approved on consent agenda at the July 15, 2014 Municipal Planning Board. The City Council approved the aforementioned MPB minutes on August 11, 2014.

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached Ordinance No. 2014-40 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next regular City Council meeting.
