Summary:
The attached ordinance will amend the Official Zoning Map by designating ±220 acres located north of Tyson Road, east and south of State Road 417, and west of Narcoossee Road the Planned Development (PD).
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the PD amendment to combine the previously approved Education Village and Education Commerce Center PDs into a single PD on June 17, 2014. The development plan of the new Education Village PD will comprise of a phased development of up to 770 multifamily residential units, 726,000 square feet of commercial, retail, and service use, 255,500 square feet of civic use, and a public high school (the existing Lake Nona High School).
The City Council approved the first reading of this ordinance on August 11, 2014. |

Recommended Action:
Adopt the attached ordinance number 2014-32 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney. |
