Ordinance No. 2014-23 Amending the Growth Management Plan (GMP) by Adopting the 2014 Summer Cycle of GMP Amendments. (Economic Development)

The attached ordinance includes the Summer cycle of GMP amendments for the 2014 calendar year. A summary of the proposed amendments is attached.
  • GMP2013-00026, Southport Industrial Parcel - Change the future land use designation from Residential Low Intensity to Industrial for property generally located south of Dowden Road and east of Family Camp Road. (District 1) 

  • GMP2013-00027, Southport Industrial Parcel Subarea Policy - Amend Future Land Use Element Subarea Policy S.33.4 to reflect the change to Industrial future land use and zoning map amendments. (District 1)

  • GMP2013-00033, Rosemere Neighborhood Future Land Use Subarea Policy S.13.7 - Create Future Land Use Element Subarea Policy S.13.7 to allow office uses, address development standards, and establish transitions for certain property in the Rosemere neighborhood. (District 3)

  • GMP2014-00001, Transit Level of Service - Amend Transportation Element Policy 1.13.1 and Capital Improvement Element Policy 1.2.12 to add text clarifying transit level of service standards and recognize the performance value of designated transit corridors with increased service frequencies.

  • GMP2014-00004, Annexation Updates to GMP Maps - Amend policies and figures in the Future Land Use Element, Transportation Element, Recreation and Open Space Element and the Capital Improvement Element to add newly annexed land into the City limits.

  • GMP2014-00005, Land Use Indicators - Amend Future Land Use Element Policies 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 to delete references to the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Certification Agreement and add the requirement to track Land Use Indicators.

  • GMP2014-00006, Millenia Regional Activity Center - Amend Future Land Use Element Figure LU-2D to remove a ±86.5 acre property from the Millenia Regional Activity Center.

  • This ordinance was changed from the first reading to remove a property from the ordinance, as requested by the applicant (GMP2013-00028 Dermody Properties - Assign the Airport Support District-Medium Intensity future land use designation for property generally located at the northwest corner of Narcoossee Road and McCoy Road).

Recommended Action:
Adopt the attached ordinance number 2014-23 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
