Subject:2014-2015 Division of Cultural Affairs Grant for Harry P. Leu Gardens
Summary:

The 2014-2015 Florida Division of Cultural Affairs General Program Support grant is designed to fund the general program activities of an organization that is realizing its stated mission and furthering the state’s cultural objectives.

We are using the funds exclusively to support and enhance our present special events, marketing, educational programming and horticulture collections at the gardens. The dollar to dollar match required will be met with current budget expenditures for special events, marketing, educational programming and plants totaling $150,000.

Recommended Action:Approval by the City Council and the Mayor to accept the awarded 2014-2015 Division of Cultural Affairs Grant #15.6.114.302 in the amount of $150,000 on behalf of the City of Orlando and Harry P. Leu Gardens.
