The Fleet Management Division, Solid Waste Management Division and Procurement and Contracts Division are requesting to utilize Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) cooperative purchasing contract #HT06-14 with Chastang's Bayou City Autocar of Houston, Texas, for the purchase of nine (9) 2015 Autocar ACX64 Hybrid  cab and chassis trucks with Heil DP 7000 bodies at a total cost of $3,545,997.00, in accordance with the previously approved standardization of Heil refuse bodies for the City's Solid Waste Management fleet.

 

These Hybrid refuse trucks will replace eight (8) conventional refuse trucks currently in service that are scheduled for replacement and will provide one (1) additional truck. 

 

Kenworth of Central Florida, of Orlando Florida will facilitate the order and delivery of these refuse trucks, with issuance of a Purchase Order to Chastang's Bayou City Autocar.

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to issue a Purchase Order to Chastang's Bayou City Autocar as indicated above, in the estimated amount of $3,545,997.00.
