Summary:
The attached ordinance applies to a +/-0.0995 acre site which is generally located north of Josephine Street, south of Beach Boulevard, east of Pinelli Street and west of Old Cheney Highway. The subject site is right-of-way which was vacated in Orange County on June 3, 2014.
This ordinance follows an expedited annexation request (ANX2014-00006) consistent with LDC Section 65.260. The first reading of this ordinance and the Petition for Annexation were both approved on June 23, 2014.
After the annexation ordinance is adopted, the initial future land use designation of Residential Low Intensity will be processed through the Winter 2015 Cycle of GMP amendments and an initial zoning of Planned Development (PD) (Cady Way) with the Aircraft Noise (/AN) Overlay will be assigned through an administrative process.
The subject property is contiguous to City limits. If annexed, the property will not create an enclave. The proposed annexation meets all requirements under Chapter 171, Florida Statutes. Unless appealed, this action will be effective 30 days after adoption. |

Recommended Action:
