Summary:

The following sealed bids were received in response to the subject solicitation:

Australian Grinding Company, Brisbane, Australia $637,500.00

The Contract will consist of surveying all sidewalks in the City of Orlando (City), documenting trip hazards and damaged sidewalks, and grinding raised joints and uneven cracks.  American Grinding Company has proposed to perform all of the requirements of this contract using their own staff and resources. No subcontractors will be utilized on this contract. 

The Procurement and Contracts Division and the Streets and Stormwater Division have evaluated these bids and recommend award to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder, American Grinding Company, of Grand Rapids, MI, locally operated out of Wesley Chapel, FL.

The term of the contract will be an initial one (1) year with the option to renew for three (3) additional one year terms.  The estimated annual expenditure is $562,500.00. 

No City-Certified M/WBE suppliers responded.

Recommended Action:

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to enter into a contract with American Grinding Company, as indicated above, in the estimated annual amount of $562,500.00, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office.
