Subject:Ordinance No. 2014-26 Of The City Council Of The City Of Orlando, Florida, Designating Certain Land Generally Located North of E. Orlando St., East of Depauw Ave., South of E. Summary:

The +0.15 acre subject site is in the College Park neighborhood, north of E. Orlando St., south of W. Winter Park St., east of Depauw Ave. and west of Musselwhite Ave. The applicant requests to rezone the property to PD/T/W to allow for the development of a duplex with a Floor Area Ratio (FAR) of 0.7.  The request also includes a reduction to the minimum required driveway separation as well as to allow required parking within the required front yard.

Unless specified in the PD the parcel will be subject to the standards of the R-2A/T zoning district.

Previous actions regarding this application are as follows:

  • May 20, 2014- MPB recommended approval of the subject PD rezoning. (ZON2014-00009)
  • June 23, 2014- City Council approved the meeting minutes of the May 20, 2014 MPB hearing. (ZON2014-00009)

Recommended Action:Approve the attached ordinance number 2014-26 on first reading and request that the Mayor and the City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next regular City Council meeting.
