Employment agreement with William Worley as Construction Inspector with the Capital Improvements & Infrastructure Development Division

Summary:
The Capital Improvements & Infrastructure Division is responsible for providing construction management and inspection services on City infrastructure projects. The current full time staff members are fully committed to projects already under construction. An additional $15 million worth of upcoming construction projects will require staffing for inspection services on a short term (2 year) basis. Public Works received authorization to create additional City contract inspector positions in lieu of using more costly outside consultants. Mr. Worley will fill one Construction Inspector position. These positions are included and funded in the FY 2014 - FY 2016 budgets as full-time, contract positions. This agreement is for a two-year period, beginning on or about July 23, 2014 and ending July 22, 2016.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: Cost is budgeted in Program CIP0004_C, Capital Improvements & Infrastructure Division.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Mayor to execute the subject agreement with William Worley, Construction Inspector as noted above and subject to review and approval of the City Attorney's Office.
