Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the City of Orlando for Design, Construction and Construction Engineering Inspection services for the reconstruction and widening of Columbia Street.

Summary:

This Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the City of Orlando designates funding for design, construction and construction engineering inspection services for the reconstruction and widening of Columbia Street. The proposed improvements include widening of Columbia Street from Sligh Boulevard to Orange Avenue to improve passenger and pedestrian mobility, and freight delivery movement.

FDOT agrees to maximum participation, including contingencies, in the project in the amount of $1,500,000. FDOT agrees to reimburse the City of Orlando for construction engineering inspection services in an amount not to exceed $181,000 for actual cost incurred, and for construction services in an amount not to exceed $1,319,000 for actual cost incurred.

Approval of the attached Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) between FDOT and the City of Orlando, and authorization for the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem to execute same, subject to review and approval by the Office of Legal Affairs.
