Summary:

On July 22, 2013, City Council approved, as part of the FY 2013-2014 Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development Programs, a request from Lighthouse Central Florida, Inc. for CDBG funding in the amount of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00).  Lighthouse Central Florida will use this funding towards the rehabilitation and expansion of its building located at 2500 Kunze Avenue, Orlando, FL 32804.  Lighthouse is a local non-profit that provides employment services to adults with blindness or severe visual impairment.  The execution of this agreement was delayed due to an occupance issue with
a tenant in the building.
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: FY2013 HUD – Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) was approved on 07/22/2013 as part of the Annual Action Plan.
Recommended Action:
Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the agreement with Lighthouse Central Florida in the amount of $300,000.00 after review of the documents by the City Attorney's office and Grants Development Supervisor.
