Acknowledging the City Clerk's certification of the results of the Downtown South NID tax referendum

The Downtown South Neighborhood Improvement District (the "DSNID") held a mail-in referendum between May 5, 2014, and May 20, 2014. The referendum posed the question of whether the DSNID should have the authority to levy an ad valorem tax on real property within the district of up to 2 mills per year for up to 15 years. The City Clerk opened and tallied the ballots on May 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. The attached certification finds that the referendum passed in accordance with the terms of City of Orlando Ordinances #2011-3, #2011-28, and #2014-6.

A total of 514 ballots were voted. "Yes" votes were cast by 323 properties, representing $143,077,711 of assessed real property value, and "no" votes were cast by 191 properties, representing $86,386,493 of assessed real property value.

The attached certification also reports an accounting of the ballots, including the disposition of improperly executed ballots.
