Subject:Modification #1 of the FY 2014 High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Program grant award
Summary:
The City of Orlando received approval on April 14, 2014, for a FY 2014 grant from the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Program in the total amount of $99,524.00. Modification #1 is an increase in the initial award in the amount of $9,948.00 for a total award of $109,472.00.
 
The funds are for overtime, vehicle leases and equipment rental for OPD officers assigned to the Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, DEA Heroin Task Force and the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation.

FY 2014 High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Program Grant Award was approved by City Council on April 14, 2014. 
Recommended Action:Approval by City Council and ratification of the execution by the Mayor of Modification #1 of the FY 2014 High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Program Grant Agreement, subject to review by the City Attorney's Office and the Grant Development Supervisor.
