Attached is a petition for the voluntary annexation of Narcoossee Oaks. The subject property is located at northeast corner of Narcoossee Road and Clapp Simms Duda Road and is approximately 3.657 acres in size. The subject site currently has the unincorporated Orange County future land use designation of Rural/Agriculture (R) and is zoned A-2.

The applicant is requesting the City’s future land use designation of Urban Village (GMP2014-00014), new GMP Subarea Policy S.40.4 to include the property into the Southeast Orlando Sector Plan, and associated zoning of PD – Village Center (ZON2014-00015).

Annexation is being requested in order to develop up to 50,000 sq. ft. of non-residential uses under the Southeast Sector Plan. The subject property is contiguous to the City limits and is reasonably compact. If annexed, the property will not create an enclave.

Direct the City Attorney to prepare an annexation ordinance for consideration by City Council and authorize staff to initiate a Growth Management Plan (GMP) amendment and initial zoning for the subject property.
